There are some emails you have to read three times before they make sense.
The one inviting us to pitch Blōma as one of ten finalists in a global health innovation challenge was definitely one of them.
The funny thing? We almost didn’t even apply. We were so sure we were way out of our depth.
We remember saying, “Let’s just do it so we finally have the motivation to work on that investor deck. There’s no way we’ll be picked anyway.”
We hit submit, moved on, and completely forgot about it.
And then, the email came.
It’s hard to describe what it feels like when your small, scrappy brand (when everything still feels messy, improvised, and half-built) suddenly finds itself standing next to brands that have been around for decades, backed by global teams and millions in funding.
It’s surreal.
But also… WTF? Did they make a mistake?
What We Shared
We talked about why the future of wellness has to be both biological and behavioural. That supporting women’s health isn’t about fixing isolated issues, but understanding how real life interacts with biology.
And we talked about the challenges women face today.
